REGULAR (FULL) MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must:
- Be at least 21 years of age, and have five years experience as a professional numismatist.
- Have a net worth at all times of at least $250,000.
- Agree by signature to abide by the PNG Code of Ethics.
- Agree to submit to legally binding arbitration to settle any dispute relating to the purchase, sale or trade of coins and numismatic items.
- Provide a notarized statement from a certified public accountant that you meet or exceed the financial requirements of the PNG.
Any Regular (Full) member who is employed by a firm or company whose net worth exceeds $250,000 times the number of Regular members in its employ, may remain a Regular member during the period of his employment regardless of whether he meets the net worth requirement, provided all other eligibility requirements remain met. Upon leaving that employ, the member shall automatically become an Associate member, may re-apply for Regular membership, but must meet all eligibility criteria, including the net worth requirement.
Applicants for regular membership must submit a check for $400 (including $300 for a credit/background check, and a $100 contribution to PNG’s special use fund), along with the full member application form, to the Executive Director, and must be sponsored for membership by two PNG full members. Current PNG Board members cannot sponsor applicants for membership.
If the Executive Director determines that the applicant meets the eligibility criteria, the applicant's name will be submitted to all PNG regular members for approval. The Executive Director will transmit to the Board the names of all applicants approved by the membership, and the Board will vote whether to admit each such applicant to membership.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years of age, and have two years experience as a professional numismatist.
- Have a numismatic net worth at all times of at least $25,000.
- Agree by signature to abide by the PNG Code of Ethics.
- Agree to submit to legally binding arbitration to settle any dispute relating to the purchase, sale or trade of coins and numismatic items.
- Provide a notarized statement from a certified public accountant that you meet or exceed the financial requirements of the PNG.
A full member of PNG cannot apply for associate membership. Associate membership is available only to:
- Employees of general members, who may remain associate members for so long as they are so employed, or
- Persons expressing an intention to apply for general membership within three years of their acceptance as associate members. All persons in category (2) must apply for general membership within three years of becoming associate members.
Applicants for associate membership must submit a check for $200 (including $100 for a credit/background check, and a $100 contribution to PNG’s special use fund), along with the associate member application form, to the Executive Director, and must be sponsored for membership by two PNG full members. Current PNG Board members cannot sponsor applicants for membership.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
This class is open to any individual who is not a professional numismatist, but is affiliated with numismatic community, and supports the principles of the PNG.
Applicants for affiliate membership must submit a check for $100 (as a contribution to PNG's special use fund), along with the affiliate member application form.
